✨ What is the Divine Mercy Feast?

The Feast of Divine Mercy is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, called Divine Mercy Sunday.
It was established by Saint John Paul II in 2000, following the visions and requests of Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun who received messages from Jesus about His desire to pour out His mercy on the whole world.

On this feast day, Jesus promises extraordinary graces to those who approach Him with trust and humility.

πŸ•ŠοΈ What is Offering Divine Mercy?

Offering Divine Mercy means:

  • Trusting in Jesus completely (“Jesus, I trust in You“).

  • Asking for His mercy for yourself and for others.

  • Showing mercy to others through actions, words, and prayers.

We can “offer” Divine Mercy by:

  • Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

  • Making acts of mercy (forgiving, helping, consoling others).

  • Praying for the conversion of sinners.

  • Trusting God’s will even when it’s hard.

🌟 How to Receive the Divine Mercy Promise?

Jesus made a special promise through Saint Faustina:

“On that day, the very depths of My tender mercy are open.
I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy.”

To receive the Divine Mercy Promise on Divine Mercy Sunday, you should:

    1. Go to Confession
(Preferably before or on the Feast Day. Even about 8 days before is acceptable.)

    2. Receive Holy Communion
(On Divine Mercy Sunday itself, with great trust in God’s mercy.)

    3. Pray for the Pope’s Intentions
(Usually an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.)

    4. Trust in Jesus and Be Merciful to Others
(Forgive others and show acts of mercy.)

    5. Optional but Highly Recommended:

      • Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

      • Venerate the Image of Divine Mercy (“Jesus, I trust in You” image).

      • Meditate on God’s mercy at 3:00 PM (the Hour of Mercy).
